What Houston Traffic Records Show

Pay or Contest a Houston Ticket
To plead guilty by mail, sign the guilty plea on the back of the ticket copy, attach a money order or cashier's check for the fine and costs, and mail it to District Court of Houston County, P.O. Drawer 6406, Dothan, AL 36302. Personal checks are not accepted and will be returned, which can cause delay. Online payment is through AlaPay. The Alabama Traffic Service Center is available for questions and payment support.
To plead not guilty, appear in court on the court date and request a trial. If a person fails to pay, otherwise dispose of the case before court, or appear on the court date, a warrant may be issued, ALEA may suspend the driver's license, the fine may increase, and any bond may be forfeited.

Proof and Document Offenses
Houston County has specific proof rules for no-insurance and similar document offenses. If proof of insurance is provided by the court date for the vehicle driven at the time of the ticket, the defendant is not required to appear.
